Karen Green, Food Mentor
Karen’s mission as the Food mentor is to help food SMEs to grow their businesses profitably, and keep on growing, whilst avoiding the many common pitfalls and mistakes that befall us in the food industry.
She has a wealth of commercial experience, having worked both as a buyer for Tesco and Boots, and commercial director for various food manufacturing businesses supplying UK retail. She now helps smaller businesses to develop their brands, find and keep retailer business and grow their overall categories.
She is a regular guest lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, delivering workshops and lectures on food marketing, sales and innovation.
Karen is launching her first book “Recipe for success” at the Bread and Jam festival. It provides a step-by-step guide that enables readers to create high profile food brands and ensure their company can make and sell these products successfully.
She lives between Newbury to enable her to meet clients and customers alike and the South of France, where she is taking on the challenge of renovating a house.
