Primrose Matheson, Primrose's Kitchen
Primrose Matheson is the Founder of Primrose’s Kitchen a company making breakfast cereals and super foods based on Naturopathic Principles in the heart of Dorset. In her teens Primrose had health issues, which meant she had to look at all aspects of her lifestyle and most importantly her diet.
She made changes, which had great positive effect, and this inspired her to pursue a career in wellbeing beginning with a homeopathy degree and naturopathic studies on leaving school. Breakfast being her favourite meal of the day she was determind to find a way to add more nutrition together with a more balanced combination of ingredients so her products could be enjoyed any time of day. Spotting some beetroot and carrot on the side in the kitchen she started experimenting and never looked back. Primrose’s Kitchen was launched in 2013 from her kitchen table in Dorset and since then has moved to a much larger kitchen nearby where her fun loving, friendly and enthusiastic team make the products in house. Primrose’s Kitchen makes 10 foods, which are stocked throughout the UK with exports abroad as well.
Primrose lives near Bridport so when she is not in her office she is paddle boarding with her whippet Isla on the Jurassic coast, foraging or working in her kitchen garden thinking up product ideas.
