Workshop: Pitching Your Product To Whole Foods Market

  • Keyworth Centre Keyworth St London SE1 6NG United Kingdom (map)

About our workshops:

Our evening workshops are a great way to focus on a particular area of your food business. Super specific and super intimate, these workshops have limited places so that our industry experts can really hone in on the issues you're facing and give you the support you need to get your business where it deserves to be.

About this session - Pitching Your Food & Drink Products to Whole Foods Market:

  • The Listing Process: What To Expect

  • Doing your research - is your label compliant? What are WFM's sourcing policies? How will your range compliment what is already on the shelf?

  • What is WFM's distribution model?

  • What do you need to include in your presentation?

  • Insider techniques, best practices and understanding the day in the life of a WFM buyer

NOTE: This is NOT an opportunity to pitch to Whole Foods Market.

About the speaker - Emily Christie, EC Food Retail Consulting:
Emily has just launched her new consultancy business EC Food Retail Consulting, having left her Grocery Buyer position at Whole Foods Market in the summer of 2018. She's working with retailers on category management and merchandising, whilst also supporting brands with retail strategy: pitching, pricing, promotions and consumer marketing budgeting and spend.

Emily has been in the food industry for over 15 years, starting out as a chef after spending 3 months at Ballymaloe Cookery School in County Cork, Ireland. Here she developed a passion for a sustainable, and holistic approach to food production and consumption, which has carried on through to buying jobs at The House of Bruar, sourcing local Scottish produce, The Savoy hotel, and most recently at Whole Foods Market. She was a Grocery Buyer for Whole Foods’ 9 UK stores from 2015 to 2018, looking after the Ambient Grocery department, Non-Alcoholic Drinks, Crisps & Snacks, Loose/Bulk Ingredients, Private Label and Homewares departments.

Emily combines her love of food with a love for spreadsheets, using data analysis and insight to drive her decisions, and ultimately get the best out of every project she’s working on.
