Join us on Thursday 17th January for the year’s first of our legendary monthly socials, where food and drink founders and industry experts gather for an evening of networking, sharing new ideas and advice, learning new things and making new friends. If you’re thinking of attending the Bread & Jam festival in October, our socials are a great way to dip your toe into our supportive community.
Our socials are free to attend: No need to arrive on the dot or stay ‘til the end - it’s a social!
What happens: At each Social we are joined by an industry icon who will share invaluable industry insights to kick the evening off, around 7pm. They will give a very short talk, swiftly followed by a Question & Answer session and networking.
This month’s theme: 5 tips on how to make a retailer give a shit about you in 2019
Guest Speaker: Tom Benn. Tom has 7 years of FMCG experience but for the last 4 has been 'Deputy Squirrel' for Pip & Nut - he was Pip's first and only employee for a long time and the nickname stuck. For most of that time he's been the most senior member of Pip & Nut's sales team and today manages all of the UK's largest grocers, a distribution network of more than 20,000 stocking points. He also spearheaded Pip & Nut's grocery strategy, achieving year on year growth of 41% and outperforming the category consistently. In 2018 he won The Grocer's Top New Talent award.
Who will be there: Food and drink entrepreneurs, individuals thinking of starting a food & drink business, industry experts.
Please register on Eventbrite so we know you’re attending. Socials are really popular, so we need to make sure that there’s enough room for everyone. See you there!
